Favorite party favor ever?

What was the best party favor your kids have recieved from a party? DS's party is next Saturday and I need to get on the ball. the kids range in ages from 2-9.

  • I don't think we've ever gotten a party favor that was anything different or exceptionally wonderful.  They've always been just a bunch of little trinkets put together in a bag.  Someone here did mention a homemade CD with music on it and I thought that was a great idea.  It may be a little tough for you though with the age ranges you have.

  • I HATE goodie bags so some favors I have appreciated from other parties:  the straw cups from disney, disney tee-shirts (expensive), curious george book (it was curous george's birthday surprise, or some title that was b-day related).  For DS's b-day one year I made foam picture frames (you can buy at Michael's) and got foam letters and personalized each one for each kid.  This year each kid got a 24 piece puzzle of the united states that I got from the $1 bin at Target.  (I admit this had nothing to do with his sports theme, but parents were GUSHING over it).  dollar store has puzzles as well.  HTH!
  • For DS first birthday, I got personalized bath towels for each kid. (Being the coupon queen that I am, it was not the huge expense that one would think.)

  • My friend went to a birthday party where each kid got a little playground-type ball. The theme was cherries and the balls were bright red, so it was pretty cute.

  • My kids both received a personalized zipper pull with their name on it.  I love them and they are on their coats.  I think the mom got them on eBay.  They look like a small round pin with a hook attached to attach to the zipper pull.
