I have nothing for the nursery. Haven't been reading that many books either. It was a surprise pregnancy so I'm still not ready to accept the fact that I'm going to be a mother lol. I'm going to get on it tho! I'm going to take a birthing class bc I want to go natural and a childcare class as well. We just moved across the country so I don't even have a doctor here in Chicago yet, I'm trying to not let it all stress me out. I'm an extreme procrastinator
I have almost nothing done. And the only things that are done were not my doing. I have some clothes, a swing, and a pack-n-play that were all hand-me-downs, and the the room that will be the nursery is halfway cleaned out, but that's all DH's stuff. So, yeah, you're not alone.

Well, she has a painted room, some clothes, and a travel system, but nothing else. We probably won't buy much else until after Christmas. My first shower is Jan. 30.
No, I'm not doing Lamaze. The only class I will probably take will be a breastfeeding class.
i havent done really anything!! barely started a registry and prob wont buy anything until after my shower. we are trying to move, so we havent bought any baby furniture since we dont know where we will be. i hate it though! i dont like feeling unprepared...so your deifnately NOT alone!!

Definitely not prepared. I have bought quite a bit but it's all in the states and won't make it here until mid Jan. However, I guess I do have the room cleaned out, a travel system and some clothes. A start I suppose. Don't stress, you'll have plenty of time to get everything together.
But that's it. Both DH's and my parents are divorced and remarried, so they all want to buy us stuff (first grandchild for all sides). So far, they have pitched in: travel system, sling & baby carrier, swing and my mom is making a quilt and bumper pads for the crib.
I figure after the shower (which I guess will be mostly clothes and other knick knacks I need) we'll have most of everything we need and the only other thing I'll need to get are cloth diapers.

i feel perpetually underprepared. we ordered our furniture, bought a car seat and snap and go and a playpen with bassinet...otherwise, nothing and i'm getting more nervous every day. you're definitely not alone! we have our childbirth class set up for starting in january!
We're totally unprepared at this point. The nursery is still full of junk, we haven't purchased the furniture or hardly anything else, we haven't taken classes or researched pediatricians, etc. We're buying furniture in December, other stuff in January/February, and I'll worry about classes and peds after the holidays.
I think I'm cutting it REALLY close. I have bought clothes for the first 3 months...hopefully I'll get bigger clothes at the shower and other things. My shower is January 15th and my due date is Feb. 23; I couldn't schedule any sooner, those damn holidays are taking up most of the time.
We're barely buying the crib this week, but we are not going to put it together until we paint the room and Lord know when that will be.
The only thing I have bought is a breast pump. I'm waiting to find out what I'm having and that won't be until the first week of december. I'm so ready to start buying stuff.
Furniture is ordered, fabric is purcahsed and have someone who will make the bedding. we have started the registerty but I am doing research on different things as they come up. Our goal is to be done with the registry by the end of the year and the nursery by mid Jan. Books...hahaha I probably should start reading some of those.
I don't really see that you need to have that much stuff. We have a car seat, used cradle with bumper and sheet, 12 cloth diapers and wipes, 5 bottles, and some used t-shirts and sleepers. What more could you possibly need at the beginning? The stores are always open and willing to sell you anything you want so it's not like you need to stock up before the birth. We're not having a shower.......
