    I was specifically looking for info on LA (I guess I should have made that a little clearer) but all the info was great! I know it won't be super weather in January in LA but it won't be -30 either so it would work fine for me. There are some really great deals (flights/hotels) at that time, too.

    But my sister is starting to lean towards Mexico again so it might all be moot. Frankly, I'm happy to go anywhere where it's warm enough to wear a skirt and flip flops. In any case, LA is on my list of places to take DD for a long weekend at some point. DH isn't really a city guy so I think I'd like to do a special mummy/daughter trip to LA or Phoenix or Palm Springs or somewhere. One day! But I'll look you up if I end up out your way : )
