I was wondering when I should take a preg test. This is my first month off of BC and I don't know if maybe my period is late because of that or if I'm actually preg! Anyhow, 28 days would have been yesterday. Thanks ladies!
If you're not charting and aren't sure when you ovulated then you can take a test whenever you want to. If you do know that you've ovulated then I would suggest waiting until AF is late.
It can take a year to regulate after BCP, so I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep having sex.
If you get to 60 days with no AF, call the Dr.
You can take a test once a week if you want to, or just wait it out.

If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.

I agree with the previous posters. You should start charting and that will help you determine if you are late or not. For this cycle I would wait another week at least. GL

That first cycle off BCP can be really tough. I started charting right away, so I knew that I didn't ovulate until day 21. A lot of ladies on here have had 40, 50, or 60 day cycles (or even longer!) right after stopping. I would probably wait another week if I were you, and then I would start testing once a week. Hopefully AF will come soon!
You can definitely test if it will make you feel better but there is a huge chance that your periods WILL NOT be 28 days coming BC. Your body needs some time to regulate. Good luck!
Keeping my fingers crossed for my BFP Buddy STL34!!!
Re: When should I take a test??
it can take up to a year for your cycle to regulate after being on BCP.
Are you charting? do you know when you ovulated?
I would suggest www.fertilityfriend.com if you're not charting, and reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility.
If you're not charting, start testing at cd32/34 and once a week thereafter if you're still "late"
