Recommend your lip-wear. And please, nothing that I have to buy at a dept. store. If I can't get it at Target, I won't get it at all. I need something that will keep my lips moist, as I have hella dry skin.
nivea makes a tinted lip gloss that i love. other than that i like aquaphor or neosporan lip treatment, but they're not colored. sally hansen has some decent ones too.

I wear Chapstick. I know, soooo glamourous. But I HATE when the nice glossy stuff transfers to anything (baby mostly) or strands of my hair get caught in it so I like this better. I do have one they make that has a shimmer to it but it's not "glossy".
I mostly only wear burt's bee's regular chapstick, but some of their 'nude' toned chap sticks are REALLY pretty! Plus they feel all nice and tingly when you put it on...mmmm....
I recently had problems with the corners of my lips cracking and my lips being flaky and dry in general.
I was using Neosporin, but unfortunately as soon as I did something to stretch the corners of my lips (like brushing my teeth), they would crack back open & it was painful. A poster mentioned Aquaphor & I've been quite happy with that.
Normally, I use Clinique's All About Lips and Kiehl's lip balm to keep my lips soft, and both last me a while. I know, you said no Department Store brands!
