I think you can have as much as you want, but you have to wait until you feel like you could drive until your milk is ok. I could be wrong though...I don't really drink.
Pump and dump is a myth it doesn't help get the alcohol out any faster...best way to measure it and what my Midwife told me is if you think you shouldn't drive don't breast feed...that is different for everyone I know, she said usually 2 glasses of wine or beer is fine.
Alcohol metabolizes in BM as fast as it does in your body. I, personally, avoided alcohol for a good while after DD but I do drink now that I know I will have some longer stretches...if you aren't feeling it then you are/shoudl be good.
it all depends on your body, tolerance, how much food you've had that day, etc. one glass of wine could make you tipsy one day, and you might not feel it until the third on another.
i bought the alcohol test strips whenever i have just 1 or 2 drinks to use. if i've had more than 2, i figure i don't need to give it to DS & i dump it.
Re: Pump & Dump?
if you are not tipsy, you can breastfeed. this is the general rule.
the only reason to pump and dump is if you become engorged and need relief. it does not make the alcohol get out of your system any faster.

This. I just refrain from feeding my LO until 2 hours after drinking, or when I no longer are feeling the effects.
