We got our H1N1 shots

Ugh.. I was sooooo against it.. but all of us got our vaccines today.  I figured our kids health is more important than ours, so I'm willing to take the risk of whatever is in the vaccine.

And DD had the mist - she was such a good girl - I was so shocked I swear I teared up a little!  The nurse explained everything to DD about how it was just a spray and for a 2.5 year old she is so smart and understood it all and was so well behaved.

So we're all vaccinated except I have yet to get the seasonal one (on the wait list at my Drs office).  We are considered "high risk" because of the infant.

    Good to know. I was very against it too, I feel like there's just not enough info out there about it yet for me to make a good decision. I have J's 1 yr appt tomorrow and I'm sure they're going to push it onto me.

    Glad you were able to get it finally- I know it was a project for you to find it..I 'm in mrswhites boat- havent gotten it and have a dr appt tomorrow- when i'm sure they will tell me again how pregnant women have died from it...

    Yay for N being such a big girl!!

    I go to the OB tomorrow and will be able to get it.  I thought I FINALLY decided to do it, but now that's it's so close, I'm second guessing myself again....ugh!!!!!!!

    I'll be standing in line at a county wide clinic tomorrow in hopes of finally getting it.

    I took the girls on Tuesday to get theirs.  I was against it for awhile but the pedi and I sat down and discussed it (I love our pedi because she doesn't push shots and in fact has said that she understands and supports why I don't do the regular flu shot for the kids).  After the pedi and I discussed the h1n1 shot and Ems history of respiratory issues when she was an infant, I felt more comfortable getting the shot.  We're doing it this year and we will re-evaluate next year.
