I'll go first!
I was on my 8th grade trip to an amusment park with short white shorts! AF decided to go with me and she made sure everyone knew she was present! I walked around all day pulling my shirt down over my shorts and if anyone asked I made up some ridiculous story that I sat in something red. On the way home our bus broke down and we all had to pile on the floor of the second bus. It was the LONGEST day!
Re: What's Your WORST AF Moment
Oh no! That's a terrible story...
The very first time AF showed up, I was out in the middle of nowhere riding my bike with a friend. Luckily I was wearing red sweat pants (I was so cool).
I have never had any really bad moments since. Knock on wood.
Yikes. That's bad.
Here's one for you: I was in 6th grade and when I got up from my desk, there was a huge streak of red blood on a white chair. I was so embarrassed...I tried to wipe it up with my butt before anyone saw, but it was too late. Got teased for that one...

I was at a birthday party at Maze Craze (a huge warehouse that they put up life size mazes) in 6th grade...it had to be one of my first couple periods. Anyways, I was rolling under walls with all the boys (I was the only girl there) and i went to the bathroom and had blood EVERYWHERE. all in the back i had blood down to my knees, up my back...the front just had blood in the crotch of my jeans.
No one ever said anything about it, but i was mortified...and then learned how to use tampons.
This is the worst!!
Mine is from junior high too. Pretty much the same story - started my period out of nowhere. I didn't have anything with me and no change for the bathroom machine. I was embarrassed so I didn't ask any of my friends for help. I stuffed a bunch of toilet paper in my underwear and tied a jacket around my waist. What a loooong day.
When I was in 6th grade we didn't change classes we had the same teacher all day. Anyway, there was a mentally disabled girl in my class. I guess she started her period for the first time and her mom put some pads in a ziploc for her to use throughout the day. Well, she walked into class and placed the ziploc proudly on her desk. I felt so bad for her. Everyone was laughing and making fun of her. Poor girl.
How on earth did you manage that??
I started so young..9 or 10 years old. When I first got it, it didn't register what it was.. for several months, it would come and I was so grossed out. I would shove TP in my underwear. Finally, my mom must've found a pair with some stains on it, and she asked me if I started my period. I looked at her like a deer in headlights (realizing with relief finally what was going on.. I wasn't disgusting after all!!), but I lied and told her NO until it came the next month.
Thankfully, I've not had anything 'mortifying' happen since then.
My very first AF came during my Freshman homecoming.... luckily I was wearing a dark red dress.
oooh that could have been sooo bad!!

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
This wasn't even MY moment, but still embarrassing.
I got picked on a lot in school. And one of the boys grabbed my purse and found a pad...and realized I was one of the first in my class to get AF. It was 5th grade, so no sex ed yet.
Well, one day, (AF was not even visiting) someone else left a pad on the bathroom floor and everybody just assumed it was mine and told the teachers. I got in trouble and had to pick it up, plus the entire class picked on me for the rest of the year.

that's awful!!
I bet! I probably would've been freaking out thinking I had cut myself or something lol
Luckily I have never had to do that! I've learned with my irregular cycles to always have a pad and tampon in my purse.
I was 9 almost 10 and in 5th grade.
Besides the typical 6th grade not-prepared story...
I worked at the library on campus during college for a while and a reshelver... Part way through my shift I can tell something is off.... I head to the bathroom and it's like a murder scene in my underwear/pants. I was definately NOT expecting this visit... I had to head down to the first floor and ask my boss if I could run back to my dorm for a few minutes. She refused and said I had to finish my shift. She was an angry olf Russian lady... I had to explain what happened so I could leave. To top it off, when I got to my dorm, the maintenance man was there fixing my AC.... I had to ask him to move so I could get to my dresser. I was horrified.
I probably would have, but I knew that AF was there...it was so awful.
::shudders::
Me, too. I was 10. Isn't that horrible?? 20 years of AF!!
I was on the swim team and we had an away meet one day after school. I didn't pack tampons because I wasn't expecting AF. Well, she decided to show up right as I am getting out of the pool after completing a relay. Full force, AF trickle leak out of my suit and down my leg (sorry SO gross I know). I had to borrow a tampon from another girl, and I hid in shame in the bathroom.
Did I mention this was a co-ed swim team, with more boys than girls.....
I have the typical young and inexperienced story.
I was in 7th grade and it was one of my first few periods. I was a fairly heavy bleeder when I was younger. I was wearing a pad and I could feel that it was leaking during art class. I was shy, so I didn't want to ask my teacher if I could excuse myself to take care of it.
Well, we had to get up and get supplies out of the closet and I noticed a big bloody splotch/smear on my chair. I was moritified and stunned. One of my classmates came up to me and told me that I needed to go to the bathroom and take care of something. I had bled through, in the most serious way, my khaki pants. I ended up having to go to the nurses office to get another pair of pants (thank God they had some) and a pad (I forgot to bring enough).
This situation has got to be the most horrifying for any middle school/junior high girl. Luckily, no one gave me a hard time about it and the 'most popular girl in school' had it happen to her a few days later.
Ninth grade, world geography class, seventh hour (last class before end of school day), and I'm thirteen years old. The bell rings, I get up to leave, and there's a red puddle on my chair (despite Super Plus tampon!). Lucky for me, I was wearing a too-big men's button-down shirt that I hadn't sat on during class; I pulled the shirt past my hips and ran to the bathroom.
And for the past twenty years, I've thought I was the only one. Now I know better!
This is me today except not for AF but for CM. Yuck!
