Yesterday was my injection class and I started Lupron today! It is all starting to sink in now. My Mom is doing my trigger shot, so she went to the class with me. She just looked extremely nervous, so the nurse asked her if she wanted to practice. Honestly, I didn't even feel it going in. That needle just looks alot worse than it really is.
Anyway, there was one other girl taking the class, and she looked so confused and lost, like the nurse was speaking a foreign language. I wanted to tell her about the bump and this board, but I stopped myself.
Do you all ever tell friends/acquaintances dealing with IF about the bump?
Re: IVF #1 under way!
good luck to you!!
I actually did recently tell a friend who had a m/c about the bump because she said she felt like no really understood! She is happy to be here now too!
Ha! I'm here and I think I had that utterly confused deer in headlights look on my face throughout my injection training. The nurse kept asking me if I understood and if I was okay.
G/L to you!!!
to some IRL friends, i refer to the bump as "an online support group".
I don't have any IRL IF friends.
Good luck this cycle!
"Smudge's Story - How to Grow a Dandelion" will return soon!

"If dandelions were hard to grow, they would be most welcome on any lawn."
Wahoo!! I'm glad you are finally getting under way!
I don't tell IRL friends about the bump.
ETA: I don't really have any friends who are dealing with IF right now. We had one set of friends who just got their BFP on their first IVF after 4 years. I do have a friend going through the testing but she has only been ttc for 3 months... long story.
Although I'm not too nervous about doing the injections, I still can't imagine not being able to feel it, so that makes me feel better
I don't have any IRl IF friends either, atm, but would definitely tell them about thebump!
