2nd Trimester

Crying?

Ok ladies...I need to know I am not alone. All I have heard from my mom and sister is how happy they were during their pregnancy. I am just feeling worried, stressed, and the crying! OMG! I feel like I am crying a ton! Is anyone else feeling this way? I would say for the most part I am a happy person and DH and I really want this baby, but right now, I just feel like crying.

Re: Crying?

  • Hormones honey!  If you are really anxious, talk to your OB about it.  You don't want to spend your whole pregnancy worrying....everything will be fine!

  • You could not have posted this at a better time :) You are not alone, I am not much of a crier, I am overall a very happy person, but lately I have been crying a lot. I know my emotions are out of whack, but I feel like something is wrong with me sometimes because of my anxiety/crying I have been doing. My pregnant sisterisn't this way, so I guess it affects some people differently! Doesn't mean we aren't happy with having a baby, just means our emotions are off a little :-)
  • You are so not alone...2 nights in a row I have bawled my eyes out...seriously like a child- uncontrollable crying-  Poor DH doesn't know what to do...he trys to comfort me and even offered to give me a surprise that he's been hiding early to make me feel happy...Poor guy :)

I told him to wait on the surprise b/c I felt so sad that I wasn't sure anything would make me feel happy and that I wanted to feel happy when he gave me a surprise...I felt totally crazy.

It has got to be the raging hormones b/c I'm normally a happy person.

  • Yes, I am right there with you. I was like that all day yesterday. There is big time drama going on right now with our foster daughter and it looks like we might have to start fighting for permanent custody - adoption. Its just crazy and overwhelming. Last year at this time I was engaged and living at our new house by myself. Now I am married, with a foster child and one on the day ---------I was freaking a bit last night! Poor DH - he doesnt know what to do either. I have been finding that sleep works wonders.
  • I'm crying ALL THE TIME.  It's annoying!!  I feel like I'm going crazy!
  • Thank you ladies! I actually do feel much better. This crying this is getting annoying and yes, I do feel like I am going crazy. DH tries to understand, but I think he thinks his wife has been taken over by an alien (which I kind of have!).
  • Me, too - crying at really strange things.  And not normally being a crier, I'm not sure how to handle it!

  • I know how you are feeling...yesterday was the worst crying day I have had. I cried all the way to work, all the way home from work because of some dumb comment my brother made. Then when I got home I cried again becuase someone drank all the eggnog. =P

  • You are not alone.  I've been having crazy sobbing fits for no reason at all.  It's like once it starts, I just can't turn it off!
