Obviously this is a little premature, since Noah probably won't "get" Santa for a few years, but the holiday post got me thinking. We don't have a fireplace at our house....what am I supposed to tell him in the future? How does Santa get in the house??
Like I said, a little early, but I never really even thought about it....guess we should've bought a house with a fireplace!
Re: Santa question
I grew up in Florida, so obviously no fireplace there. My mom told me two things:
1) The door was unlocked. That worked until I got on this "safety" kick and would have a little fit if the door wasn't locked.
2) Santa has this incredible shrinking power. It's true! Just like he shrinks to fit down the chimney, he can also shrink and crawl under the door.
I'll never forget one Christmas Eve, I was getting ready for bed and I was talking to my mom in the kitchen (putting off going to bed). I SWEAR I heard sleigh bells coming from outside. Obviously, hearing those sleigh bells got me all excited, so I flew to my room and went straight to bed. Strange though, that my dad wasn't in the house to hear them. ;-)
We had shrinking santa, too! No fireplace in our house. We have a gas fireplace now, so I guess Baby C will also have a shrinking santa.

I have an ex-boyfriend who grew up with no fireplace. In his own little mind he figured that Santa came in through the oven since it was hot and fireplaces were hot.
Personally I like the Santa Clause theory that since Santa is magic, fireplaces magically appear for him.
Ditto this.

We had a "Santa Key" that my mom always hung on a hook outside our front door. It looked a lot like this: https://cgi.ebay.com/Santas-Magic-Key-Cast-Iron-Instructions-For-Santa_W0QQitemZ360207082339QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item53de03e363
I've been looking for something similar for a while (even though we have a fireplace) but to use as an ornament. I may have to bid
I was going to suggest watching this movie also. We always were told that my parents let Santa in and that is what we said once or twice...until we saw this movie. Once the boys saw it, it became fact to them. A fact that I did not dispute.
