It's time for my annual exam, and I've always just gone to my local ObGyn. She's wonderful but is one of those OBGyns who is very good *once* you get pregnant (so I'm told) but not very helpful (in my opinion) if you have questions/concerns about trouble TTC.
DH and I have been trying for a year now (I'm 32; he's 34). I have always had irregular but mostly longish cycles (22 days to 55 days). I'm charting, and most (not all) of my charts *seem* like the "normal" ones shown in TCOYF--despite the irregular and longish cycles--but when I use my CBEFM, I rarely get two bars and only once have gotten a peak. I wonder, though, if this is because of the types of cycles I have, and the monitor is trying to sort through a mess of data, it's not designed to compute.
So my whirlwind of questions is: Should I schedule an appointment with an RE this year instead of just going back to my regular OBGyn? (I don't need to be referred to see the RE I have in mind. And this RE is supposed to be wonderful.) Or should I go to both? Or find a better OBGyn?
Thanks for any advice...
