Hi.

I am new to the bump. I would like to share my story, but may I ask why you are wondering?? Are you having syptoms?

I had an ectopic in late July. I found out I was pg at about 6.5 weeks. I was ecstatic having all ready had 3 m/cs. Everything was going well until I had some bright red spotting. I went to the ER that night and was in severe pain on the left side. The bleeding had stopped but the pain was there. In the AM I had a full pelvic u/s. The ectopic was found so I returned to the ER that evening to see the doctor (I work at the hospital). He consulted OB, and she recommended trying methotrexate to abort the pregnancy. So after having the shots I went home and awaited my impending m/c. Nothing happened in the next two days, no bleeding just pain in the left side. I saw the doctor at her office and she ha me have another beta and u/s. I did so promptly, the methotrexate hadn't worked, my beta was up and the fetal sac had grown. I was brought in for emergency surgery that evening because of the fear it would rupture. It went from laproscopic to a full incision to removed the baby and the left tube. It has been a long road since then. My dh and I have just started ttc again.

Hi and thanks for writing me back. I dont really have any symtoms except my RE nurse told me that there is area for concern since mt 2nd beta almost doubled and said i may m/c or have ectopic..

Now the day i got my bfp i bleed for two days just like my AF and it went away and thats it.

My 1st beta was 8

2nd 28

3rd 51

so I go back tomorrow to see if they doubled or tripled. This nurse has me worried. Is there anything u can tell me I may experience if i were going thru ectopic? I dont want this to go further if it will make me loss a tube or other complications..

Did they test you for any disorders? I have Endometriosis and if this results in another m/c for me my doc will run some test.. I hope things go well for you. Are you under RE care?

First, I'm sorry you're concerned about this.

Second, I used to live in Mt. Laurel... Small world.

Finally, why are they automatically assuming that it's a m/c or an ectopic? I'm going to go back and re-read and look at your dates to see if I missed something.

Hi,

The nurse at my RE office told me i may m/c or have ectopic so now im freaked out. I have no complaints at all, no pain, nothing.

The only thing is I did bleed for two days when I got bfp but it seemed like my af. I love Mt Laurel. Where did u live? I'm near the post office..

Where are u living now?

I'm really sorry about all this. I don't know anything about this first hand. I had a friend that ran into a similar "could be ectopic" thing a few months back. She wound up having to wait it out and have a few u/s to see what was going on. It turned out not to be ectopic, fortunately.

I lived near Prospectors. Behind there were some townhomes, and I lived back there. I used to work right down the street from Copperfields. I live in Charlotte, NC now. I moved in 2002. I really liked living up there (I'm originally from NJ), but I really like living here now.

I hope you find some answers soon. Good luck! And again, so sorry you have to even be worrying about all this.

I am sorry that this nurse has you so concerned. I am not sure what I can tell you about what you feel. Everything was great, morning sickness and all until I started to bleed. I ended up having surgery because the methotrexate didn't work. I lost my tube because the tissue was unhealthy. I have also been dx with PCOS.

I hope that everything will work out when you go back the dr. Have you had an u/s yet?? That will be a better look into everything.

I had an ectopic in the beginning of July. Long story short, I had a BFP and an IUD fall out but a lot of bleeding. I then had some really strange and strong cramps. I went to the OBGYN thinking that I was miscarrying. They did an internal u/s and blood work to determine that it was ectopic. I went straight to the ER and they gave me the methotrexate. A couple days later the cramping came back but worse. I got really light headed, shaky, felt sick to my stomach and started sweating profusely. My DH rushed me to the ER to discover that my tube had ruptured (after a dr telling me that I was probably just being sensitive and cramping is normal when aborting a pregnancy... I'm still a little hung up on it if you can't tell) and was in surgery a little while later. Lost my right tube.

My sister also had a suspected ectopic from getting pregnant with an IUD. They couldn't tell at first but told her at the second visit that it was just a normal pregnancy but she ended up m/c anyway. I know that either way it's not good but at least you know there's a chance it could not end in surgery.

Good luck to you and I'm sorry you're going through this. I know how stressful and heartbreaking it can be.
