So would mid-rise jeans keep the muffin top under control?

Low rise jeans are NOT my friend.  So would mid-rise jeans be better?  I need to try some on the next time I am at the store to check it out.

  • YES - I'm a mid riser!  Put the waist of the jeans just above the belly button & add a tight camisole.  Works everytime for me.  Dead sexy I tell ya!

  • YES. Lands End actually has some incredibly flattering mid rise pants that help control the fluff and eliminate the muffin top. But then again, I dont think that 99% of people should wear low rise anyway...

Awesome.  I am definitely going to buy a few pairs and retire my low risers til I get my tummy tighter.  If ever.  Probably never.  Dammit.

My girlfriend complained that this is the first time in her life she has ever had to stuff her fat into her jeans, hahaha.  Oh the joys of being a mother!

What pisses me off more than muffin top is the fact that I weigh LESS than I did pre-pregnancy, and yet i still can't fit into smaller jeans.  My hips got wider and never went back.  Grr.

Ooh I will check out Land's End.  Thanks!  And yeah, I have to agree with you about how some people shouldn't wear low-rise.  I am definitely one of them now!

I'm with you on that.  I used to be so self-conscious about everything, and now I love my body (other than the muffin top).  I love the curves, everything.

I am slowly coming out of denial.  I live in sweatpants all the time, so I don't really have to see myself in jeans...only on the weekends.  And this past weekend I said enough was enough.  I have to get new jeans.

question - when you take off your jeans and put on your comfy sweats/ yoga pants/lounge pants is it like heaven?  Do you wonder why you even bother wearing jeans?

because my sweat/lounge/sleep pants are hideous and I'd never leave the house if I wore those all day.  i've looked at new yoga pants while out shopping, but i can't get over the stretchiness over the a$$ part  :)

check out Prana yoga pants.  They are a bit pricey but look much better in the butt than most yoga pants (at least for me).  They have an extra 6 inches of fabric at the waist that folds over & makes the butt look smaller!
