I have a confession to make:
I cannot WAIT to take the Hitchhiker on a Disney cruise!
I seriously have wanted to go on one forever, and Bun and I have never gotten to take a vacation together. Every time we plan one, something happens and it falls through.
I mentioned it to Bun tonight and he was like, "As long as I get to meet Tinkerbell, I am up for it."
What is something random you are looking forward to once your Green Bean is a big boy or girl?
(No "I just want to hold him/her"! It's a total cop out!)
Re: Soooo, let's get mushy, girls.
family gatherings...
I have a huge family and we get together all the time. However, we live in a different state now so I am not sure how that will work.
every year my dad's side of the family goes up to Indian Lake in the adirondaks, i can't wait to teach LO to canoe, sail, build a fire, etc. I also can't wait until LO is big enough to climb a moutain and be in awe of the view from the top!
*or a disney cruise, that sounds wicked cool
DH is excited to teach her how to play sports. It doesn't matter that we're having a girl. Our LO will most definitely know how to throw a football :-)
I'm looking forward to family vacations and family outings (movies, dinner dates, etc).
We should have a bump reunion on that Disney Cruise. It would be awesome.
But really, my dad is looking for an excuse to go to Disney World, so I imagine that will be in the mix at some point.?
EEEEP for Disney!!! We should all go together
I think right now, I'm most excited about going camping. We took SS for the first time this summer, and he was SO ADORABLE. New family tradition!
This!
Okay, so it's probably a cop out - but the first thing I'm looking forward to is nursing the baby. I can't wait for that bond.
After that, girls day with manis, pedis, lunch and shopping!
DH and I are all about Disney. Taking her there was one of the first things I thought of.
Also, I can't wait to start putting her in Red Sox gear and teaching her the finer points of the Boston sports scene. I am a baseball nut, and I hope she'll be the same.
I also have been fantasizing about taking a Disney trip with the little one. We just took a big family vacay to DisneyWorld last year (family tradition) and I can't wait for the next one when we have our LO. We've done the Disney Cruise and it is awesome. This is also something I'm looking forward to. Here's a pic of DH and I with our darling niece. She's dressed as tinkebell, so I thought you'd get a kick.
Also, me and DH LOVE, LOVE, LOVE snow skiing and we can't wait to get the LO up on the hill. It will be so fun teaching her/him to ski. Then, before we know it the LO will be passing us on the slopes!
I love the little kid skis and helmets out there!
I definitely think the Disney World Bump Union ('cause... it can't be a "reunion" if we weren't unionized to begin with, right?) should be ON.
Also.. let's get real sappy:
I cannot wait to teach the Hitchhiker how to read. We will learn with Dr. Seuss and Fantastic Four Comic books. I just want to hear him sound out words so badly.
I cannot wait to take them to Spain to meet my family. I swear as soon as possible, we are going to Spain.
I can't wait until they are born so we can begin travelling too. I travel every year to a whole bunch of places and this is the first year that I will not be travelling.
I LOVE HER!!!
She is seriously so beautiful. Her not having hair is seriously a side-thought. Her face is gorgeous! Thanks again for sharing her!?
?
?
This, totally. My parents read to me every night, until I could read on my own. It's one of the best gifts they ever gave me, and I can't wait to pass that down to Birdie.
Side note, I think DH will be setting her up with some Iron Man comics as soon as he can.
That's the sweetest little Tinkerbell I've ever seen.
Bun and I were both a little disappointed when we found out the HH was a boy, 'cause we wanted to play dress up... But now we just need to get him some Thing hands or maybe a Darth Vader suit. :P
I am sure that Comic Books, Sci-Fi, Fantasy novels, RPGs, and Legos will be a big part of our future. It's so much fun to think about them discovering new stuff, and loving the things you love. My mom introduced me to Anne of Green Gables as a child and it's still my most cherished memory of her.
my read shelf:
Mine too.
Do you think the Hitchhiker will tell on me if I dress him up like a pretty princess while Daddy isn't home?
Lol
Just don't take pictures and leave no evidence;)
my read shelf:
I can't wait for her first dance recital! My mom still loves watching my first christmas recital, where I ran to the wrong side of the stage with the older group as a sugar plum fairy.
I also can't wait for continuing the tradition of going to see the nutcracker at christmas time. I used to go into San Francisco and see the SF Ballet perform the nutcracker every year... She'll have to settle for the Dallas production, but I'm sure it'll still be amazing.
Running with LO in the stroller, then when she grows up, running beside me.
Golf with DH and LO.
DH can't wait to teach her other sports.
