Anyone feel really strongly about their diaper bag? I mean a normal one, not something super extravagant or designer (not knocking it...just not a priority).
Anything in particular I should pay attention to when shopping, besides lots of pockets?
I love the petunia pickle bottom boxy backback. Pricey, but worth it. It fits everything but the kitchen sink and is very comfy. And they have tons of cute ones.
I also like the PPB boxy backpack- I got it thru their online outlet sale...I have twins & so far it fits everything I need (3 months old) and room to spare. the only complaint I've heard from ppl is that the velcro is kinda loud if LO is sleeping.
I would definitely recommend a backpack even w/ a singleton, hands free is great when you're dealing w/ a stroller, etc. The PPB one is nice b/c it can be a messenger style bag or backpack.
Lots of pockets are good and also a separate pocket where you can keep your 'stuff' separate, eg wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses.

I agree and living in a 2nd floor apt has made the backpack feature a god send!
