2nd Trimester

Soooo, let's get mushy, girls.

I have a confession to make:

I cannot WAIT to take the Hitchhiker on a Disney cruise!

I seriously have wanted to go on one forever, and Bun and I have never gotten to take a vacation together. Every time we plan one, something happens and it falls through.

I mentioned it to Bun tonight and he was like, "As long as I get to meet Tinkerbell, I am up for it."

What is something random you are looking forward to once your Green Bean is a big boy or girl?

(No "I just want to hold him/her"! It's a total cop out!)

Re: Soooo, let's get mushy, girls.

  • family gatherings...

I have a huge family and we get together all the time. However, we live in a different state now so I am not sure how that will work.

  • Mother/daughter shopping trips!

  • every year my dad's side of the family goes up to Indian Lake in the adirondaks, i can't wait to teach LO to canoe, sail, build a fire, etc.  I also can't wait until LO is big enough to climb a moutain and be in awe of the view from the top!

*or a disney cruise, that sounds wicked cool

  • DH is excited to teach her how to play sports. It doesn't matter that we're having a girl. Our LO will most definitely know how to throw a football :-)

I'm looking forward to family vacations and family outings (movies, dinner dates, etc).

  • I can't wait for our first trip to California to visit family.
  • We should have a bump reunion on that Disney Cruise. It would be awesome.

But really, my dad is looking for an excuse to go to Disney World, so I imagine that will be in the mix at some point.?

  • EEEEP for Disney!!! We should all go together :)

I think right now, I'm most excited about going camping. We took SS for the first time this summer, and he was SO ADORABLE. New family tradition!

  • Me and DH have seen a huge part of the world thanks to the military. I can't wait to take our kid on trips to see some the greatest land marks, buildings, and historic sites you name it. We won't let the LO slow us down and keep up as at home. We totally imagine strapping them in a carrier or wrap and seeing the Taj Mahal or hiking Cinque Terra in Italy. We want our LO to really have an open mind about the world at a very early age.
  • Disney World, now I have an excuse to go to Disney World when the baby is grown up :D

    This!

  • Okay, so it's probably a cop out - but the first thing I'm looking forward to is nursing the baby.  I can't wait for that bond.

After that, girls day with manis, pedis, lunch and shopping!  :D

  • DH and I are all about Disney. Taking her there was one of the first things I thought of.

Also, I can't wait to start putting her in Red Sox gear and teaching her the finer points of the Boston sports scene.  I am a baseball nut, and I hope she'll be the same.

  • Well my whole family lives a hour away from Disney, and I miss them SOOO much. I would def have to say visiting them, and going to DW. I also cant wait to take my girls out on mommy doughter spa days and such (when LO gets bigger of course)
  • I also have been fantasizing about taking a Disney trip with the little one.  We just took a big family vacay to DisneyWorld last year (family tradition) and I can't wait for the next one when we have our LO.  We've done the Disney Cruise and it is awesome.  This is also something I'm looking forward to.  Here's a pic of DH and I with our darling niece.  She's dressed as tinkebell, so I thought you'd get a kick.

  • Exactly what DH talks about (if LO is a boy)........going to church on Easter Sunday wearing matching outfits.  It will be so freaking cute.  And yes, we will be THOSE parents, LOL

  • Also, me and DH LOVE, LOVE, LOVE snow skiing and we can't wait to get the LO up on the hill. It will be so fun teaching her/him to ski. Then, before we know it the LO will be passing us on the slopes!

I love the little kid skis and helmets out there!

  • I definitely think the Disney World Bump Union ('cause... it can't be a "reunion" if we weren't unionized to begin with, right?) should be ON.

    Also.. let's get real sappy:

I cannot wait to teach the Hitchhiker how to read. We will learn with Dr. Seuss and Fantastic Four Comic books. I just want to hear him sound out words so badly.

  • Regardless of the bug's sex, I'm SO looking forward to them bringing home their first gf/bf.
  • I cannot wait to take them to Spain to meet my family. I swear as soon as possible, we are going to Spain.

I can't wait until they are born so we can begin travelling too. I travel every year to a whole bunch of places and this is the first year that I will not be travelling.

    I LOVE HER!!!

She is seriously so beautiful. Her not having hair is seriously a side-thought. Her face is gorgeous! Thanks again for sharing her!?

This, totally. My parents read to me every night, until I could read on my own. It's one of the best gifts they ever gave me, and I can't wait to pass that down to Birdie.

Side note, I think DH will be setting her up with some Iron Man comics as soon as he can.

  • Yeah, she's a little doll.  And maybe we are biased, but we think she looks good without hair.  She has an awesome, charming personality too.  She takes after her aunt :-) ...
  • That's the sweetest little Tinkerbell I've ever seen.

Bun and I were both a little disappointed when we found out the HH was a boy, 'cause we wanted to play dress up... But now we just need to get him some Thing hands or maybe a Darth Vader suit. :P

I am sure that Comic Books, Sci-Fi, Fantasy novels, RPGs, and Legos will be a big part of our future. It's so much fun to think about them discovering new stuff, and loving the things you love. My mom introduced me to Anne of Green Gables as a child and it's still my most cherished memory of her.

  • DH is a drag racer and we're a big racing family.  I can't wait to have her at the racetrack with us, daddy's little pit crew, and get her own little junior dragster car when the time comes!

  • I can't wait to take her to England to meet my dad's side of the family.  We're going in 2012 for the Olympics, and so she won't really be a big girl yet, but I'm already stoked!

  • I can't wait for fun weekends where we can dance around the house, bake cookies and play with dolls.  I seriously can't wait to take her to Disney.  I love Disney, we go to Disney World every other year. DH even proposed there.  Her first Dumbo ride, getting a hat embroidered with her name, princess dress-up makes my heart happy!

Do you think the Hitchhiker will tell on me if I dress him up like a pretty princess while Daddy isn't home? :D Lol

  • We are already planned for a November 2010 Disney trip! I would be more than happy if you all decided to tag along!! :)

  • Sewing the babies first Halloween costume, my fav holiday.
  • I can't wait for her first dance recital! My mom still loves watching my first christmas recital, where I ran to the wrong side of the stage with the older group as a sugar plum fairy.

I also can't wait for continuing the tradition of going to see the nutcracker at christmas time. I used to go into San Francisco and see the SF Ballet perform the nutcracker every year... She'll have to settle for the Dallas production, but I'm sure it'll still be amazing.

  • I can't wait to take my son to the beach in LA and visit all my girlfriends out there with him. I know they will all go crazy for him and that will be fun.
  • SO says taking baby shooting, watching them make their first kill. I'm thinking Christmas for me... gifts lol

  • Running with LO in the stroller, then when she grows up, running beside me.

    Golf with DH and LO.

DH can't wait to teach her other sports.
