My mom and step dad want some suggestions for a big gift for DS. (The small stuff is awesome thing doesn't work for them) So, I need some suggestions of the big things you/grandparents are getting for your DC.
We bought DS the Fischer Price Laugh and Learn Barn for his birthday and he loved it. It was $70, on sale at TRU. I know that the home is great too, and I've heard that the kitchen is neat as well. Anything in this line of toys is nice.
We won't be getting any big ticket items for DS (money restrictions for us, and grandparents don't spend a lot of money on DS), but if I could make a wish list... it would include a nice toy box, a table and chairs set, or a nice personalized stool.
Really, though, what I want for him is a big fat college fund donation. Getting as much money in there as soon as possible is my goal, so it can earn interest for 17 years.
