Male Morning Sickness

I've heard of some men having sympathetic symptoms while their wives are pregnant, but has anyone heard of a man having morning sickness or nausea?  My husband has had several instances where he feels nauseated and even feels like throwing up ever since we found out we were expecting, yet I have just been queasy and have not yet vomited.  Just wondering if anyone has had similar issues or has heard of something like this and what may be causing it.

  • Maybe he's really nervous and excited??  I haven't experienced it...heck MH forgets I'm even pregnant.

  • I've heard of sympathy weight gain!  Not m/s though.  I'm guessing you already thought of this, but...is he just sick? eating something different? on a new medication?

  • Ummm... that's really bizarre, but all I have to say is "lucky you"!

You can really start to flip out though if he pops a little belly and complains that his "pecs" are sore.

  • My DH gets sympathy pains. At first it was just nausea, but today he actually threw up.
  • My DH has anything I have. So if I say I'm feeling tired he says 'me too'. If I say I'm feeling crabby it's "me too". Yet, so far he has drawn the line at M/S.
