Anyone half hoping that the u/s tech tells you the gender w/o asking if you want to know? I know it is a long shot.... We didn't find out with the girls and as w/ them DH is way more set than I am (in not knowing). I want to know if my gut is right though!!

You have to tell them that you don't want to know or they'll more than likely look for it.

I've had 2 u/s where I could have found out and didn't want to know either time.?

With the girls they asked when we walked in. My sis (w/ 6 kids) said that they found out this way with #4 even though they did not want to know.

I have been team green hard core all the way (so far). I must admit though that as I get closer to my big u/s - this Thursday - I have a very faint desire to want to know. But I am going to stick to my guns and tell the u/s tech as soon as we get there that we do not want to know. I guess I am only curious for the same reason you are - to see if your gut is right. Everyone around me seems to think we are having a boy, but I just have this feeling that it is a girl. But I am definitely going to stick to my guns and wait until delivery day to find out.

It's SO much fun to wonder and think about what little buddy could be, it would be kind of a buzzkill to ruin the surprise before the birth. Last OB visit we had an u/s (my OB does one every visit) and she was like "Close your eyes in case I see something!!!!" and while it was sort of a thrill to think we could find out, I'm really glad we didn't. Christmas comes in April in 2010 for us!

I had an u/s a week ago and the lady asked if we wanted to know the gender because she could tell at that time. I admit, I was tempted for a minute, but am so glad I stuck to our choice not to find out.

OOOO OOOO! Pick me! Pick me! I completely want to know but DH doesn't... So I'm hoping that its obvious or the U/S just tells us. Or me. My (much) younger SILs want me to find out and just figure they'll build a Gilmore Girl's-type shed to hide all the cute baby clothes.

We had our ultrasound yesterday and I thought they would ask right away if we wanted to know. When they didn't say anything I finally spoke up and told them we didn't want to know, but it was kind of tempting to find out for a few minutes. I was looking at the screen and hoping that I might accidentally see something, even though I knew I really didn't want to find out (my dh let me make the decision on this). It was definitely tempting, but I'm so glad we didn't find out.

aww dont find out!! honest I couldnt wait to find out either DH was dead set on NOT finding out...at the last min the baby flipped to show the goods and DH asked...I loved not knowing with my First son!! it was so fun..now that I know it feels like peeking at the Christmas gift before christmas..and waiting to get for christmas to get here to open it..but while your opening it you know what it is! lol it kinda feels like the fun is Gone from the waiting game!
