I am sure this will receive a wide variety of happy and mean responses, but I am going to ask anyway. Are any of you back in your pre-preg clothes? If so, how long did it take for swelling to go down/lose remaining fluids? How long did it take to lose any extra pounds?
I was able to button pre-preg jeans this morning, but I looked like an add for muffin tops. I grossed myself out that I ripped those jeans off as quickly as possible. I know have time and just had a baby, but I hate being in the transition phase of not fitting in either maternity or pre-preg clothes - a girl can only wear yoga pants so long.
Re: Pre-preg size??? SOL
I still have some fluids I need to lose (mostly in the belly area) but I still like to use some of my maternity pants for comfort reasons, plus it kind of hides the "is she pregnant?" belly that I need to lose.
Here's the deal... IMO MOST post-pg women do return to the same weight, however, their body is completely different. Yes, muffin top is a major concern of post-pg women. Some, it takes years to whittle down to something that they're happy with. Even though you may be the same weight and are able to zip up the jeans, doesn't mean that those jeans will FIT you the same as before.
Now... please don't rock yourself in a corner and cry because of this. You're a mommy and you have plenty of time to get to what you're happy with.
I hate you - and I mean that in the most jealous, selfish way possible. Good for you though.
this. exactly.
I lost a lot of weight before I got pregnant for our February wedding. So right now I'm in my "fat" jeans. LMAO. I can't quite button my "skinny" jeans yet (well, I've never been skinny, but they are skinny jeans to me) but I think I'm getting close!
My biggest problem is that my lower stomach is covered in bruises from stupid injections I have to do and it's right where my jeans sit. YUCK. The waist of my jeans hurt!
I walked in the Victorias Secret Fashion Show 2 day PP.
I figured it would get some bad responses - but I was just curious.
This made me smile
LOL...I hate Heidi!
How does she do it??
I haven't tried. I just got my wedding ring back on about a week ago though and that was a nice feeling!
Most of my pre-mat clothes are in the "winter" box as I boxed everything up that I knew I wouldn't be able to wear for awhile.
This.
My body went through a 39 weeks of gaining weight and changing shape; the weight is not going to come off and my body won't return to its previous size/shape over night. I'm 10 weeks PP and yes, I can fit in my pre-pregnancy clothes, however, do some of them look appropriate? Not so much.
Same here. But then again this is also the first time I'm not pregnant or on IF medication in a LONG time, so my body is also adjusting to that which I think it's liking. Although not all my shirts fit over my giant boobs. LOL
My first haircut!

Some people on 0-3 want to set this post on fire too.
I'm still 10 lbs above my pre-preg weight and wearing maternity jeans. They look better on me than regular jeans and I'm okay with that.

HA.
yeah, no. I'm still swollen. I still can't get my rings on & you can't see my ankle bones by the end of the day.
I broke down & bought a pair of jeans 2 sizes bigger than normal today. My legs & butt fit into my pre-pg pants, but there's no way in hell I can even come close to buttoning them.
I still have roughly 20 lbs to lose before being at pre-pg weight.
