The date is set, and I loved my c/section #1. I've been planning on a scheduled c since before I even got pg. Anyway, now that it's all sorted out, I've been wondering about VBACs.
Anyone done one? Planning one? why or why not? Any ideas or experiences on this?
Re: Would you do a VBAC? WHy or why not?
I've been thinking about it and just can't quite decide. I've had 2 c-sections and the last time I went for a checkup the doctor I saw said a VBAC was very possible. Before that visit I'd pretty much ruled it out because my doctor thought a planned c-section would be best. I will see my doctor at my next visit so I'm going to pick his brain some more and see what he says (if he changes his mind about thinking a c-section is really necessary). You would think that all the doctors in the same practice would approach things the same way!
I did find out at my last appt that they won't induce for a VBAC though, which made me feel better! Basically I would have until a certain date to get things started on my own. If nothing happened then a c-section it is.

I have had 2 VBACs and they were well worth it. When you've only had a c-section you don't have a comparison on the recovery. My c-section was a breeze but my VBAC recovery was even better. I hope for another VBAC this time but I will be fine either way.
