I avoid buying any kind of fruit chews, rollups, etc because they are so sticky and get caught in their teeth. I am a dental hygienist and I have seen so many kids get cavities from these kind of snacks. I also avoid raisins for this reason.

This is why I started limiting them a bit, the dentist talked about the teeth issue. We make sure to brush extra-good after she has them
Even the ones that say 100% fruit are often just fruit sugar, not real fruit. Trader Joe's has some fruit only that really is just pressed dried fruit, but most of them take out the fiber and just use fruit juice to get a lot of extra sugar.
Re: S/O fruit chews?
Are they Welch's brand? We give these to P too. He used to be a fanatic about them, but now he will have 2 or 3 packages a week.
I also give him packaged meals (like ravioli, beefaroni, beef stew, mac & cheese, etc.). Yikes.

I buy fruit leather. They are not nearly as sticky or gummy. Only ingredients are apple, flax seed, and whatever fruit they use to colour it red.
Of course, it's not as healthy as an apple, but better than many other options and very conventient on the go.
DS only gets the yummy Trader Joe's ones.
I tried the Betty Crocker kind myself and was totally grossed out.
