I got the Neti Pot (or whatever it's called). It was suggested by Dr. Oz... I used it with a saline solution when I had a cold/sinus congestion last week and it worked great!
I have chronic sinusitis. Which means I get sinus infections all the time. I have one right now. My doctor this time, told me to take Tyelnol for the face/sinus pain, and I am also putting NasoGel in my nose at night to keep it moist and hopefully stop the little bit if bleeding. My doctor did give me a prescription for antibiotics, but told me to try the above items and steam first before relying on drugs. So far, so good - but I have the prescription on hand if need be.
I finally gave in and begrudgingly tried the neti pot - thought I'd hate it. I am a total convert. I use it daily now and am convinced it's kept me from getting sick - it's amazing.
