  • I chose the kind you add to the rinse cycle. I tried the new purex 3 in 1 and I love it. They work great!

  • I'm a bit OCD about my laundry. I use Tide with a touch of Downy, liquid in the rinse cycle and dryer sheets. Embarrassed

  • This is so funny -- A friend and I were just having this conversation.  I got the bounce dryer bar for half off last night and tried it.  Love the smell, not convinced that it's the best bet yet.  We'll see how long it really lasts (they claim 4 months).

  • I've been using Purex's detergent and softener sheets.  They are nice!  Just grab it, throw it in, and transfer with clothes to the dryer.

I'm glad I'm not the only one ! I was out of almost all my laundry stuff so I just ran to CVS & got the liquid, dryer sheets and also the bounce bar ( never tried it but it sounds good)

  • Other? I use vinegar.
  • I screwed up my vote. I said none, but I use dryer sheets. I guess I didn't realize they were considered a fabric softener. I guess I just think of them as anti-static sheets.

They are about $6. It depends on where you go really. But I usually get the purex powder and then a softner. So its about the same price but the 3 in 1 does 20 loads. The refills are 25. So it balances out for me. Lately Ive been seeing them on sale for 2 for $10.

Do you only use 1 sheet per load? I'm a bit neurotic and even though I have a compact size washer/dryer, I still throw 2 dryer sheets in my smaller than normal load.

  • I'm a laundry freak!

I use detergent, Clorox for Colorx, Liquid softener in a downy ball, & color catchers ... then I throw in a couple dryer sheets in.

    I love soft smell-good towels!

Yes. One sheet per load. When I used dryer sheets I did that too! I think its really worth trying and if you don't like it you can just go back to your usual stuff.

  • I should try the ones you add to the wash. DH has extremely sensitive skin (psoriasis and such), so I haven't used fabric softener in years. Boo!
