What do you eat when nothing's appealing?

I don't have any morning sickness at all...just a lack of interest in food.  I'm not starving, and not even hungry really, but I should eat.

I'm also sick, so that's probably messing with my appetite.

  • I try to eat protein- like cheese and crackers, or peanut butter with apples. Hope you feel better soon!

  • I have this problem on and off.  At the beginning, all I felt like eating was fast food burgers.  So I did.  Now it's better, but yesterday everything I ate tasted like crap.  You just have to try something and find out if it tastes good to you.
  • a piece of bread with a slive of cheese of top - under the broiler so it gets melty
  • Try a Carnation Instant Breakfast shake...those are a good way to pack in a few extra easy calories.

    This is what I do. Nothing sounds good to me, and if I force myself to eat something, I get sick. Carnation is a tasty and easy balance. Doesn't fill a gnawing hunger, but I don't get that anyway. It does have vitamins and nutrients, especially if you pair it with a DHA-enhanced milk.

    Also I've found yogurt and cheez-its to be easy, slightly-more-solid food.

  • I've been having toast with peanut butter or ritz crackers.  Ritz crackers have been my friend for the last week.  I haven't thrown up at all but have been very queasy. The crackers seem to help!

  • Awesome.  Thanks for the suggestions!  I grabbed some crackers and hummus and that seems to be doing the trick. 

    The PB sounds good too...
  • cereal... with ice cold milk.  I honestly could eat this all day right now!

    This and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. That's all I've eaten for 3 days now.
