Those w/ breast pumps allready

Have you tried it out yet?!

I was lucky to get a Medela in style pump from a good friend - just ordered all "replacement" parts off Amazon last night...

I'm kinda curious to try it out Embarrassed

    And stimulate pre-term labor!!!! NEVER. Wink I'd be curious too. Luckily I have no pump to test.

    I wondered about this. I had one on my registry but did not receive it. However with all of the gift cards and returns I will be purchasing it soon.

    I thought of putting it together and giving it a test run... just to see how it works, not to actually pump or stimulate anything haha

    I have one but don't plan to open it until a few weeks before I go back to work.  If for some reason, I can;t BF, I want to be able to return it...it was an expensive purchase!

    You need replacement tubes too and you can't buy those.  They are rubber and can't be sanitized properly.  If you cal Medela, they will send them to you for free.  I just got mine in the mail (I'm not reusing them from kid-to kid) and it only took a few days for them to come.

    As for a test run, why?  You aren't going to get much, if anything, and then you will just have to re-clean/sanitize the parts.  There isn't anything neat or tricky about it.  Just wait.

    I'm waiting to get tubes and stuff from the hospital otherwise I probably would've played with it some.

    I also got mine from a friend and wanted to make sure it worked so i just put it on my belly and it "sucked" my belly, haha.  I didn't want to start labor just yet :)  I know it would be rare but didn't want to chance it.
