Daycare/pediatrician around Merrick??

Can anyone recommend a daycare and/or pediatrician?  Or have any bad experiences somewhere specific?  I don't even know where to start...

    a friend of mine suggested Dr. Zaso in East Meadow on Merrick Road.. he has fish tanks in his office which  helps calm her LO.  Good office hours and responsive.. her LO is just 2 now, she really likes him.
