I am getting ready to go back to work in 2 weeks, and will be pumping at work up to 3 times (depending on my schedule). Do you wash your pump parts after each pumping, or store them in the fridge as I have seen on here? If you store in the fridge, do you rinse the parts, then store in a bag in the fridge?
What have you found to be the easiest for you and your schedule? Thanks!
ETA: I have my own refrigerator in my classroom, so I wouldn't be storing in a common one.
Re: working moms- question about pump parts
this. No washing necessary.
Missed m/c 10/25/10 @ 11.5 weeks
I rinse them with hot water and wash them after my last pump of the day. I also keep a spare set of pump parts at work just in case.
Good idea! I wouldn't have thought of that one.
Thank you all!
Christmas PJ's!
At work I rinse with hot water then use the Medela micro steam bags.
I know it is safe to refridg. the parts between pumpings but that weirds me out. Plus, the room where I pump is cool enough as it is, I don't want to put cold shields on my nips!
At home I use the salad spinner.
