You know it! I wasn't going to read them, I wasn't going to fall into the trend. I read all 4 of them in 2 weeks...now I have been walking around telling my co-workers I have a date with Edward Cullen on Friday......enjoy!!

You are behind the times! You'll love it, but like most books/series the first few chapters are a little slow- so don't give up.
Read them during FWP week- they're like romance novels.

I've read the first two and I didn't think they were worth it. But perhaps I'm just a hater.
Thats because the thrid and forth are the best!!!!

My sister has them and I have no problem reading them -- maybe I'll pick them up over Thanksgiving. I just thought the writing was so awful, even though the story itself, in concept, is fun!
Its definatly not the best writing, but great for 14 year olds.

My mom is a K-8 librarian and she said they can't have the 4th book as it is "racy". I read it and chuckled at how excited/amazed/grossed out I would have been to read it at 14.
I admit that at first I was a skeptic about Twilight, especially since it was my 14 year old sister who told me about it, but its so good. The writing is pretty lame but the story itself really pulls you in. I mean, the acting on Beverly Hills 90210 was never that great, but we were all obsessed, right? I read all 4 books in 2 weeks, it became my guily pleasure. Anyway, hope you like it.

Welcome to the club! I don't know of anyone who has read the books that hasen't become a fan/obesssed.
No juicy love scenes...good sexual tension though.
Some people call it "abstinence porn."

Me, I read the first book and did not like it at all. The Sookie Stackhouse series is much better!!
