Re: crystal light?

  • I think it's okay...but I never drink it.  Check the ingredients for synthetic sweeteners.  If there are synthetic sweeteners then I'd say don't drink it.  If not.... indulge yourself.

  • From what I've read, artificial sweeteners aren't on the "banned" list, but something you shouldn't have too much of.

wait, I thought aspartame was okay, but it was saccarin that was the dangerous one.

Aspartame is in most light yogurts, should I not be eating these?

  • It is safe to consume.  It is safe to have 50 mil per 2 lbs you weight, the average person would have to consum 20 diet sodas a day.  I drink it all the time, I just water it down.  I use one of the sigle serves in a 32 oz bottle, or the 2 qt mixers in a 3qt jug.  I would talk to you Dr but if you have diabetes it is all you can have. Anything in moderation shoudl be fine, but if I didn't have it I ould never get my water in.
  • Aspartame has NOT been proven to be unsafe, but since it's 'fake' many people choose to completely stay away.

I still eat my light yogurt, but drastically cut back my diet soda intake.

Thanks, I guess I'll finish the yogurt I have and maybe switch to greek yogurt next time.

Whew!  That's the only way I've been able to drink water since I found out I was pregnant!
