Two Under 2

Who had a vastly different 2nd pregnancy...

and had the same sex baby?

We're kind of hoping for another boy.  Hand me downs, close in age, etc.

My 1st pregnancy was piece-of-cake boring. But I swear I'm carrying an alien this time. LOL.  I have craved very different foods and am so sick I can barely function. Not a single thing has been the same with this pregnancy.

We're not finding out the sex. But at this rate all signs seem to point to girl.

Re: Who had a vastly different 2nd pregnancy...

  • DH swore up and down the second had to be a girl.

    100% different pregnancies.

Different cravings, grew different, felt different.

Nope... penis as clear as day on that u/s.

The tech put the wand on my belly, yanked it off and asked if we wanted to know the gender and I replied:  "Yes, we wanted to know and Yes... that's a BOY."

So.. you may just get your wish yet!

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

  • We thought for sure DD2 would be a boy! I had no m/s with DD1, just got fat and happy. No problems at all, just elevated BP at the end. With this pregnancy, I've had everything from terrible m/s to crippling fatigue to cravings and headaches and everything is sore. It's crazy!

  • We have 2 girls and my pregnancies were complete opposites!

With DD1 I felt amazing the entire time. No m/s, fatigue, really just felt great.

W/ DD2 I had m/s first tri, all the "typical" pregnancy fun symptoms, felt awful at the end, etc... I also craved very different foods w/ the 2 pregnancies.

    DITTO!  2 girls here

  • Totally different pgs, and both were girls (although everyone thought this one would be a boy).

I was never really sick with pg #1, but with #2 was sick a lot (and a lot more tired, probably due to chasing around my toddler!).  With #1, I felt sooo good mentally and with #2, I felt depressed throughout the pg.  On the good side, with #1 I gained 40 pounds, but with #2, I only gained 25!

I like having two girls, although I would like a little boy someday.  We have been able to reuse a lot, which saves a ton of money.  Plus, it's kind of sweet to see DD2 wearing the clothes that DD1 used to wear.

    Good luck!
