yeah my sister has one and really loved it. It's nice also because you can cover your baby up so people can't get their hands on the baby. I plan on getting one!!?
They are awesome! It was a lifesaver/sanity saver with DS and will get use again with DD.
As for instructions there are tutorials out there. Just google it. I don't have a site saved or I'd post it. You generally need about 5 yards roughly and you just serge the edge. If it's 48" or 60" wide just cut in half width wise and serge. You'll have one for yourself and one to give away. Jersey knit fabric so there's some stretch, but still supportive. Also, if you don't have a serger I believe there are no-sew instructions out there as well. And definitely use Joann's coupons so you save some money on the fabric. :-)
I just made one! It's super easy. There are two options for making it. You can either buy 5 - 6 yards of 44" wide fabric, cut it in half length wise and have 2 slings or you can buy 2 1/2 to 3 yeards of 44" wide fabric, cut it in half length wise and then sew the two sides together to get one 5-6 yard peice of fabric.
I got 3 yards of fabric, cut it in half and then sewed the two peices together. I'm excited to try it out with the baby.
I made mine last weekend - the fabric cost $28 with tax and I got two because I had to cut the fabric in half lengthwise. $14 a piece isn't too shabby!!

I might have to make one and give it a try this time around. I hear it's super easy to use.
I have a sling and a mei tai wrap that I bought homemade on ebay. I love them both for different reason. DS always loved both too. The mei tai was nicer as DS grew up.

Ooh thanks! I just got mine last week and I have no idea how to use it haha! It is super soft though and I hope it's the beginning of a beautiful relationship with me and my Moby...and baby of course
We have a few BRU gift cards left, so I was planning on getting a Moby- but I'm a little concerned that it's going to be too complicated to get on and adjusted (even the video confused me a bit, LOL). Hopefully it just takes practice...?
i got one from my shower andd its so cool. its odd to practice on yourself b/c of the bump but i made my husband let me try it on him (tee hee) with a teddy bear! its awesome!

You want to be careful about sewing two smaller pieces together- you've got to remember it's going to be a weight bearing seam.
