kinda irrated with "so-called" bff vent

so my bff had a baby 5 weeks before my baby shower, and she said she couldnt come because she couldnt find a sitter. I told her to bring her DD, everyone loves babies. but she wouldnt, said "she didnt want to take the attention away from me and my day."

now today I find out that last month she went to another mutual friend's shower AND brought her DD. I confronted her about it and she said she didnt come to mine because she was suffering w/ PPD, but she went to the other because she was on medication and felt better by then. I'm not sure if she just said that to make me feel bad or if that's true...
