For our first, we got the results after a week - the lab would only send them to my doctor, not to me directly.
For the second, we got them the next day.
Thanks!
Did you have an appointment with your doc to go over the results, or did he just call you?
For the second, did the lab or your doc call with the results or meet with you? And was it searching for something different? Why so quickly that time?

My OBGYN ordered the first. He "went over" them with my eventually -after I called him like a million times. All he said was "not perfect but passable". I did my own research on the actual numbers. Turns out he is on crack because there's no way his first results were passable.
The second was with the RE which is why it was so quick - her coordinator went over them over the phone with me the next day and then we talked to both docs (RE and urologist) at our appointments a few weeks later. They wanted another because of DHs low count - wanted to see if it was a fluke (it wasn't).

We got ours 2 days after he collected. I'm glad your hubby is all about it. Mine seemed a bit stand offish about the whole process. "Why do I have to get this done?", "I thought the problems were on your side..." etc. I tried to explain that it was to rule things out but he seemed very uncomfortable with the concept. Finally I said, "I've been poked and prodded several times a month... I think you can simply do this and get over it...."

OK, thanks! My OB said about a week, but I didn't know if he was just telling me a bit longer so I was hoping I'd know sooner.
I wonder if DH can call the lab in a couple days for the results? Waiting for tests and results is so much harder than the 2WW! At least with the HSG I should know right away.

I know, I'm lucky. DH actually brought it up and wanted to get tested a couple months ago. I wanted to wait just a bit so he wouldn't have to unnecessarily go through that, since we didn't have great timing for the first few cycles.
I still think that's worse than being poked and prodded, although maybe that's because I've gotten used to it.

The test has to be done within a short amount of time - so I would think they would send them to the doc within a day or two and then they would need to contact you with the results.
The lab told DH 3-5 days. He had it done on Friday morning ... so I'm assuming sometime between now and Friday will be when my doctor gets the results. I'll probably email or call my doctor on Friday if I still haven't heard anything.
ETA: GOOD LUCK!!!

Good luck to him!

If it's a regular doctor it will take about a week. If you're seeing an RE, maybe a day or two. Good luck!
Thanks!

DH has done two...the first one took about three days and the second took less than a day and a half.

Thank you IVF for our little miracles!!
