Babies on the Brain

Grocery shopping turned nightmare

I haven't been to the grocery store since BFP and was in desperate need of going.  I go, get everything I need but all the food was overwhelming and by the time I made it to the parking lot I was fighting back the dry heaves.  Get my groceries loaded in the car, go to start the car and nothing.  It's dead.

Fvck.

I call the Mr., no answer.  I call no less than 10 times, text message him and email him.  No response.  I start to tear up and am furious.  I know he is home watching football and probably can't hear his phone.  I sit there for 30 minutes and don't know what to do.  I finally text our neighbor and have him go knock on our door.  They both come up to rescue me.  The car won't jump so I had to leave it there overnight and will have it towed in the AM.

  • :( Boo.  I'm sorry, Bev.  I'm glad you thought to text your neighbor.

  • This should mean that you don't have to do any further grocery shopping for the remainder of your pregnancy.
  • That SUCKS.  I hate it when I can't get ahold of MH.  Pisses me off!

Agreed! Doesn't DH know he's on 24/7 "On Call" right now??

Glad it all worked out in the end..

  • Aww Thats aweful! *HUGS*
  • I have been there, but I can't imagine not being able to get ahold of DH in that situation. Good thinking involving the neighbor.
  • I'm so glad they were able to save you.

This makes me realize that if something similar happened to me, I have no one to call. We share one car. I'd have to call TW and she lives over an hour from me.

That is why roadside is invaluable.  Of course I am not smart enough to have the policy info IN the car.
