So here I go! I plan on being more active in the TTCAL message boards. So I want to introduce myself. Feel free to reply with a blurb about you as well.To start off, my name is Veronica. My husband is Seth and we have been married since 9/15/07, been together since May of 2004. He's my everything! We have two Golden Retreivers Kota and Cinch, who are extremely spoiled rotten.
Seth has a brother and sister both with kids of their own. I have a brother with no kids. Total, we have 3 totally adorable newphews Hunter, Tanner, and David who love their Auntie!
We had been trying to conceive for three months when we got our postive test. Or should I say 7 positive tests! Seth didn't trust the one with the lines, so I had to go get tests with a Smiley Face and ones that digitally read Pregnant. All positive. Very very very excited. Told family right away, tears of joy, and excitement life was good!. We found out we were pregnant May 2009. My first appointment was in June it was just the normal 40 questions, pee test, and blood work. And of course got all the goodies they send home with you. Made an appointment for my first ultrasound that was in July.
Waiting and waiting and waiting until we could finally see our baby on the ultrasound. The day came, the appointment was in the late afternoon, had to wait allll day before we could go. The excitement and happiness quickly turned into anger and sadness when they did the ultrasound and nothing came up on the screen. We knew it before the doctor had to say anything. I have 3 nephews I know what it's supposed to look like, this definitely, wasn't what it was supposed to look like. Seth and I instantly looked at each other, he was recording the screen with the video camera. Off with the camera, then the doctor says "How far along are you supposed to be?" "11 weeks" I say crying at this point. That appointment went on for about another half hour, alot of explaining, alot of tears. No fun.
Cried all night long, while Seth called the family and told them. I had to go back to the doctor in two days to be sure my hormone levels were dropping, they did, they were cut in half. So we scheduled the D&C.
I have never ever ever felt so much grief in my whole entire life. The million and ten questions went through my head. I still have my bad days, and then my better days, and will always have a special place in my heart for our baby who would be here in February. We have been TTC since then, no luck yet, but I know it will happen when the time is right. This probably seems pretty scatter brained. I just wanted to share my story and look forward to getting to know you ladies. Sorry to all of you, as I know this is something know one quite understands unless they have gone through it themselves.
Re: Newbie Introduction!
Hi! Welcome to the board. My name is Caryn. I got married to my DH in July 2006 and we will be together ten years in February. I have been TTC since April. I got my postive in July and had my D&C three months ago. I am TTC again and just want to be pregnant again.
I love this board and the women on it. I get so much support and love here.
Hi, I am Lindsay and I have been married for 2 years. We have been TTC since November of last year after going off BCP in July 08. We had our m/c back in August at 6 weeks and this is 1st cycle TTC again. Hopefully it worked, I am about a week from officially testing.
So sorry for your loss.
Hi, my name is Carolyn. I have been married to DH for 3 years and we have been together for seven. We started TTC in June 2009 and had a BFP in Sepetmber. I had an ultra sound (due to very little spotting) and there was no heartbeat. I had a D&C the next day.
Sorry for your loss and I hope you have a BFP soon!
I am very sorry for your loss.
