So, I'm sure I don't have H1N1 -- no fever, no chills, body aches, etc. But I do have some sort of cold or something. My throat is SERIOUSLY sore -- as in I can barely swallow anything. I have a bit of a cough from the sore throat. I don't feel all that sick, though -- just a bit more tired than usual (which isn't saying much) and a bit congested. If the sore throat isn't better tomorrow I'm going to call to see my PCP anyway. But, at what point do you decide to stay home from work -- for everyone else's sake as well as your own?

Re: When to stay home from work?
I don't know what your job is, but given that you're expecting, I would stay home and rest rather than wait for things to get worse.
Otherwise, I stay home if I have no voice (I'm a therapist and it makes my job hard!), if I have a fever, or if I were throwing up, but I never throw up. Or a diagnosed problem like strep and the antibiotics haven't kicked in and I'm still contagious.
This. Hope you feel better soon! I had a really really bad sore throat earlier in the week, but after the first day it was a lot better.
