What did you wear at your ER?

Just wondering what would be the best thing to wear.  I am guessing comfy pants and a t-shirt.

I was planning on getting some cute new comfy pants but I won't get a chance to shop before ER now.

so what did you wear......

Re: What did you wear at your ER?

  • Yoga pants and a tank top with a hoodie.  (But of course they make you put a hospital gown on for the procedure.)

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • You're guessing right.  Comfy knit pants and a sweatshirt; I worn flip-flops too since they give you socks to wear

    Good Luck!

  • good luck at your ER - i was hoping mine would be Wed, but i guess now i am looking at Thursday or Friday....

  • I don't recall what I've worn to mine (once I went back to work and the other 2 times I went home so I would imagine I was wearing something pretty nice once and I was more casual/comfortable the other 2 times)...but I really wouldn't worry too much about it.  My RE has me undress completely and put on a hospital gown so it's really about what you're wearing home from the procedure.

  • Hey!

I haven't been on all weekend just wanted to wish you the best!  I wore yoga pants and a tshirt with a cardigan.  My DH had to assist me in putting on my shoes as I was still pretty groggy from the anesthetisa. (sp)

  • Okay I am stupid I didn't even think of a hospital gown- oh man I don't know if I am prepared for this!!

Is it like the HSG? For mine they gave me a gown to change into and socks to wear.

  • When I started my cycle I decided to buy myself some new lucky/comfy clothes for my appts. New yoga pants and a purple swetshirt thingy from old navy. I wore it too all my appts and the day of my ER and ET and the day of my beta and... ( well you get the idea).

Be comfy, I saw people in jeans and heels and I almost fell over!

    Good luck!!

  • i looked like a total schlep, but i wore very baggy black fleece pants, a t-shirt and a pink fleece hoodie.  i was all about comfort!

  • I wore a strapless cotton maxi dress, a sweater and flip flops.  Of course, I live in Texas and it was in September.  Good luck!
Years of trying and treatment, IVF#1 brought us our darling C!
  • I had my ER on Friday and I wore a latex tank top (because my boobs were super sore), a dress and sandals.  They let me leave my tank top on and I wore my lucky sucks that my mom made for me.  My husband helped me get dressed and I was on my way, in a fog of course.
  • during the actual ER? a hospital gown, surgical cap, socks, and for the first one (different clinic), surgical leggings with feet, that came up past my thighs.

To and from the clinic, yoga pants and a sweatshirt
