adjusting straps on graco snugride

we are trying to make the straps bigger on our car seat. i am totally clueless and have had DH do it up until now. now he cant figure out how to make the straps longer. we did move up to the higher notch....but this hasnt helped. anyone know what we are doing wrong or how to make the straps longer??? thanks!!!!!!!

There is a button/lever right underneath the bottom part of the belt. You just kind of pull it and than pull the straps to make it snugger.

In my snugride32 there is a hole (for lack of better word) down towards the bottom (by his feet) theres a metal thing in there that you push down on and it realses the straps. Then you just tug on them up by the shoulders till you have the right fit.

to tighten them up you just tug on the cord that hands out of that same "hole"

thanks girls. that is how we have loosened them before. DH just took the straps etc apart again. he thinks it may be bigger but hasnt tried to put LO in it yet.
