So Orion's birthday is on black friday, we are just having  small gtg with family and DH and i are planning on taking him some where special. Any ideas? Im thinking everything is going to be crazy that weekend?

    I know it is not open, but we went to Happy Hollow the Saturday after Thanksgiving a few years ago and it wasn't too crowded.  I bet if you went to a zoo, Oakland or SF, it wouldn't be too bad.

    Another idea, if the weather is good, take a trip out to Half Moon Bay or Santa Cruz, spend some time at the beach and then have lunch.  We did this yesterday (Half Moon Bay) and, eventhough it was kind of cold at the beach, Peyton had a blast running away from the water and digging in the sand.  I noticed Lemos Farm was open also https://www.lemosfarm.com/, although it could be crowded since they will be selling Christmas trees.

    I think black friday is crazy early in the morning. I also think the crazyness is over shopping. As long as you do something not shopping related I think it will be great.

    I agree w. pps, do something kid-related and you should be good.  The zoo sounds like a ton of fun!
