Elf on a Shelf

DH and I went to the mall tonight to pick up some miscellaneous items.  While walking through Hallmark, I saw the Elf on a Shelf.  It is so cute.  I can't wait til I have a child so I can buy oneSmile  I may have to buy one for my BFF's baby girl.

    Ha, DH & I were looking at this too.  I had heard about it from my older siblings and think it's such a cute tradition to have... it sounds like it'd be fun trying to find where the Elf moved to each time!  I was trying to explain it to DH who apparently has selective hearing.  He was so excited about us buying it (not like him at all) and then I realized that he thought that the Elf moved itself and hid around the house.  LMAO!  He was really bummed when I told him how it really works.  I'm still giggling over that one.  How creepy would that be?!

    My sister did it with her kids last year. It's such a cute idea! I can't wait to have a baby so we can make this an annual tradition! Smile

    I had to go look this up when I read this because I had never heard of it, but that's such a cute idea!! I would love to start that tradition when we have kids...they have the cutest animated website... elfontheshelf.com!

    I visited a friend of mine just before Christmas 2 years ago who had this, and her kids loved getting up every morning and looking for the elf!  I think it's a great idea!
