did you call the doctor as soon as you got your BFP or did you wait until the first day of your missed period? How soon after you called did you get bloodwork done? Thank you.

I called within a few days of getting the BFP. My bloodwork was done at my first appt which was around 6 weeks and 4 days.

I got my BFP on Sat (but it was after my missed period), called on Monday morning to set up an appt. and they got me in by the next Monday. I met with the NP, had a urine test, had bloodwork done, had a pelvic exam/internal exam and a pap smear. I have an ultrasound scheduled for this Thursday to determine how far I am...GL!

Well, I'd had a loss last year, so I called right when I got the BFP. That was 5 days before my missed period. They went ahead and did blood work that day, and then again two days later. I was glad it was early because my progesterone was low, and they put me on supplements.

I got my BFP on a Saturday, so I called Monday after a couple more positive tests. They told me I could come in Tues-Fri in the morning to get bloodwork done, so I went the next day.

I go to an RE so my experience may be different. I got my BFP on Thursday and called that day to schedule my appointment. I was supposed to go in this Monday anyway for a Beta. I'll be monitored a lot until I'm 11 weeks and then I go to a regular OB.

I called the afternoon after because my doc is really busy all the time. I won't get my blood work done until sometime in the next couple weeks--- it is really frustrating.

I got my BFP on October 2nd which was a Friday. I called that Sunday the 4th and left a msg. I didn't hear back from them by Wed. so I called again and left a msg. They then called me back and said I needed to get blood done and scheduled me the following Tuesday (5wks 2days). I went to the hospital and it was confirmed the next day I was preggo. They then scheduled my glucose test for Nov. 9th and my first actual doc. apt. on Nov. 20th (Get the U/S). I'll be 10wks 5days when that happens. Hope this helps!!

I called that morning. She told me they prefer to see patients for the first time between 7-10 weeks so we made an appointment for 7 weeks. (19 days away)

I called in the next day, just to let the BFP soak in. I had gone in June to do a pre-baby appt. and talk about TTC with my NP. She told me that HPT are so accurate that I didn't need to come in to confirm pregnancy. I called at 4wks and went in for my first appt. at 9wks, when they did a pap, urine culture and blood test. My next appt is at 13wks.

sorry, i'm not a first time mom, but with my first pregnancy, I called a couple of days after my BFP. i was 6w when i got my BFP, and about 10 weeks at my first appointment. i got this BFP on thursday, and i plan on calling my OB on monday to make an appointment!

It isn't very hard to get an appointment at private hospitals here so I called a few weeks after BFP and the Dr. saw me the same day. He did an u/s and ordered bloodwork.

I called the day after my BFP. My doctor's office doesn't do betas unless there has been previous risks. I went in at 7 weeks and couldn't hear the hb yet, but at 11 wks we did

I called the day after my BFP...

My OB did not schedule me until 8 weeks, which unfortunately I couldn't get in that week so I'll be waiting until I'm in my 9th week. It's really frustrating because there are SO many questions I have. I just find it weird that my first appointment (confirmation) is so far off. BUT, I just take it day by day, eat healthy, take my PNV's and try to get in my exercise (that's when I'm not feeling nauseous)....

We got the BFP after the first few days of my LMP. I called the doctor right away, but they don't see you until you are 8 weeks, so we had to wait almost 4 full weeks before we got to see anyone. Dr. didn't do blood tests, but we did a pelvic exam, urine exam and an u/s to see the h/b.

I called the day after I got my BFP, which was 4 weeks. My doctor's office doesn't see patients for the first appt until 8-10 weeks. I have an appt this Wednesday, which will be 8 weeks exactly.
