NBR... watching Oprah... Twilight stuff... (nonfans only!)

Haven't read the books, don't plan on it.  Haven't seen the movie, not planning on seeing any of them.  Good on the author for what she's done, but I don't understand the fervor.

I just saw a sneak peek of New Moon... that werewolf dude looks so goobtacular... WTF is up with that hair?

  • Yeah, I read the books when I was keeping a book review blog, basically because they provided awesome material for funny posts, lol. They are horrible, truly. Listening to this author....so many things make sense now....

  • I'm watching it too. I think it's cool she's a stay at home, mom. The rest of this is just blah-blah-blah to me.
  • He's American Indian is what's up with his hair...
  • I haven't caught the Twilight bug either...I thought it was a teen series. We had a couple of the actors up here at a mall today...there are reports of girls passing out & everything!! Too much craziness for me.
  • I'm with you on this... Haven't read or seen anything Twilight. Don't plan on it!
  • I really honestly don't get the "draw" of this.
  • Same here. I wasn't even aware of the character names until I named my LO.. and let me tell you I am SO sick of hearing twilight references when I announce her name to anyone..

"No i did not choose her name because i'm a twilight fan, I chose it because I love it! Leave it be!"

  • I agree, I'm so sick of hearing about twilight this and twilight that. I think it's pretty pathetic how people just jump on the bandwagon. However, it doesn't shock me, not that long ago the world was drooling over the da vinci code

I was thinking more Harry Potter craze. I wasnt into that and not into this Twilight craze either. My take, wait a couple months or so and then something else will become the new craze

  • I am so ashamed... I was a fan of the Twilight movie.  Not one that is going to run out and buy every book, or buy the dvd as soon as it comes out.   I love vampire movies, and assumed that I would laugh through this because it was such an odd twist on vampires (since when do vampires SHIMMER?!) but some how I got sucked in... I know... I.  Am.  Pathetic.  Embarrassed

  • Goobtacular is right. I don't find those actor boys cute at all.
  • I feel like maybe she was slipped a little something before she went to sleep that night and had a hallucination. Because her story sounds WAY out there.
  • I read most of the first book and hated it.  The writing is terrible!  The story line is soo bad, and the character development is a joke.  I decided to watch the movie, and thought it was just as bad. The actors are crap, the dialog is SO SO SO terrible, and really the whole movie makes no sense.  I'm at a complete loss as to why it has gained such a huuuuge cult following.  Hopefully it is a fad that fades quickly.

  • yep never read the books, no desire to-not my genre of choice.   haven't seen the movie(s).  same with harry potter-just no my style and personally a lot better things out there for kids to read!
  • Didn't watch Oprah, haven't seen the movie & haven't gotten into the twilight craze until this week.I started the book on Sunday & I'll be honest, I couldn't put it down. I finished in 2 days & now am excited to start the next one.
