since my love for you is growing, i have 2 questions for you:
1.) i know you are a science geek, but tell me more. are you in your undergrad? grad school? pre med? what is/was your major?
2.) you have hilarious pics for every comment. do you do a spontaneous online search to find them each time, or do you have a folder with 76786817 million pics inside?
Re: geek
I'm leaving work right now but I'll answer when I get home! Give me about 30 minute-skis!
ETA: F-ck it. I'll answer now!

Graduated in 2006. Actually, my bachelor's is in theatre (don't laugh!), and I have a psychology minor. I really got into theatre in high school and thought I wanted to perform for awhile, but near the end of my undergrad I really started to not enjoy it but was burnt out and graduated with that degree. Big mistake, but live and learn.
I was actually a theatre major at NYU, first, then transferred to my alma mater because I didn't like it there as much as I thought I would (I was enamored with NYU all through high school). I changed my major to psychobiology (basically psych without the social psych stuff and bio without the ecology and botany and all that) for my sophomore year. Then decided, like an idiot, that I missed theatre to much and switch back. I should have realized something was amiss when I was helping all my theatre classmates with their science homework. Ha!
Since then I've slowly completed all the pre-requisites for medical school and I'm currently taking A&P 1. I was thinking of going into nursing but now I think I really should go to medical school, and A& isn't required, but since I took General Bio 6 years ago this is a good refresher.

I search for them, but a lot of them I've seen in one way or another before so I know what to look for.

interesting! your story reminds me of the show "felicity". ever watch it?? it's just like her story, only she majored in pre med, art, then back to pre med. (one of my fave shows, btw)
I also graduated in 2006, so we're about the same age. I majored in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. I decided after my first yr that I didn't want to go to med school b/c I wanted to get married and be a stay at home. Just way too demanding for me. However, I did think I wanted to go to pharmacy school, but then I met DH my last yr of college and decided not to go away to pharmacy school. There are none around here, and he's tied to the area for his job. A higher degree would over qualify me for most positions available in this area. So, we got married and I worked as an organic chemist in a drinking water lab for 2 1/2 yrs before having DD and becoming a SAHM.
I plan on going back to work when my youngest is in school, but I don't know that i'll go back to being a chemist.
I watched some of the first season but it didn't hold my interest.
I
chemistry. A lot more than I originally thought I would. I really need to review my O-chem before I take the MCAT, though.
Sometimes I think I'd like to be an SAHM, but I don't think it would really sate me. DH's goal is to eventually WAH, which would be awesome.
