f/u to "Let's talk reflux"

After much screaming and little eating yesterday I made the decision to switch from NeoSure to Nutramigen which, given my own severe allergies (including a milk protein sensitivity), I would prefer she be on anyway.  Granted, it has fewer calories than the NeoSure, but she wasn't getting many calories at all since the little bit she was eating was coming right back up.

So far she's had six bottles of the new formula and it's much less of a battle to get her to eat.  Her gas seems to be better, we've had no spit up (projectile or otherwise) and she's no longer constipated (she pooped on her own this morning for the first time in almost 72hrs - woohoo!!).  She just finished 2oz in about 10 minutes which is unheard of for her.  Could be simple coincidence I suppose, but at this point, an improvement is an improvement.

Also, the baby scale I ordered just arrived so we can track her weight gain without running to the ped's office each week.

  • that's great news!

And honestly, if they want her to have more calories, you can mix the nutramigen to a higher calorie rate anyway.

Ditto this!  We mixed Nutramigen to 24-cal.

Glad to hear that you're seeing an improvement!
