Peeing during diaper changes

I grew up the oldest and I have 3 little brothers.... so I know all about what to do when you change a little boys diaper. I know to watch for the pee pee so I dont get hit in the eyeball by a stream.

But I have a GIRL!

Imagine my surprise when my girl likes to spray pee during diaper changes. Its like a water fountain bubbling out. I always know to watch when she is calm during a diaper change. She pees on her changing pad cover at least 4 times a week.... and pees during a change at least once a day

Does anyone else have a DD that does this? Other mom's Ive talked to have never heard of a girl doing this... and neither of my little sisters did it.

    yep. It happens. Once she peed on DH when we where trying to get her in the bath. People are lying to you when they say that it never happens. :)

    Yes, my DD does it a few times a week. Especially when DH is changing her. So your not alone.

    Yes, my LO does this as well. I stopped using the changing pad cover, so I can just wipe down the pad each time it happens. We bought a wipes warmer and that has really cut down on the number of incidents.

    Rosemary does this as well.  I'm just thankful when she does it not on the brand new diaper I am putting on her :)

    my girls do this just about EVERY diaper change. it's to the point where we take off their diaper and wait a couple mins til they pee!! its funny too because it squirts up like a little boy's would...Huh?

    Aubrey's does as well. She actually squirted dh the other day.

    and I too am thankful when she doesnt do it on the new diaper. Ive started putting a cloth diaper under her bum and waiting a minute or 2 and its helped not waste the pampers.

    DD does this all the time too. I haven't gotten pee on me yet though but 2 nights ago at 3 in the morning she projectiled poop all over me. I did not know it could do that.
