Are you GBS positive? If you are negative it isn't as much of a worry that you deliver within 24 hours of it breaking.
You are going to deliver any day now so once your water breaks you are probably going to start contracting right away....you'll probably know! My water was slowly leaking and my OB wasn't worried, but when it *really broke it gushed like niagara falls!!
I had a major gush (actually several gushes). I would for sure have felt it in the shower.
This - believe me if your water breaks as opposed to leaking you will KNOW!!!

If it is a full rupture vs. a small leak, yes you will know it. Baby A started to break her water when I was peeing and, I thought wow I thought I was done peeing, but it is still coming out. Then I thought maybe it is my water breaking. It stopped and I stood up and then there was this huge gush and it was all over the bathroom floor and down my pants. Also after this it continued to leak for over an hour. I had to put a hand towel between my legs to get upstairs to change my clothes. I then had to put another hand towel in my pants for the drive the hospital (45 min. away) because it was still coming out strong.
Oh and after my water broke, I had no contractions. I arrived at the hospital 4 hours after my water broke because of rush hour and I didn't want to get on the road, but I wasn't having any contractions at all. When I arrived at the hospital they put me on the monitor and I had small contractions that were 15 min. apart.

Re: Another dumb water breaking question
My water didn't "break" it just slowly leaked out and I didn't know it!
Good luck to you!
