Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

I hoped I could will away m/s this time

Fail. Every time pg moms on the board talked about m/s I plugged my fingers in my ears "la la la, I can't hear you!"

I just figured I wouldn't get it cause I just can't be a nauseated lump on a log while taking care of a toddler.

But, no, it's here. I just feel completely worthless. My house is very neglected. Half of the boxes from our move a month ago are still unpacked. My child is watching Sesame Street right now.

I haven't even actually puked yet, just feeling "vomitish" all day long, like I need to stay within 15 feet of the toilet just in case, but nothing ever comes out except for nasty burps. I was ready to strangle people in my night class last night because one person was wearing strong perfume, and one person was eating a stinky rice & veggie meal out of a plastic container all during class, and then left it sitting there the whole 3 hours instead of throwing it away -- blech. And people just kept talking and prolonging the discussion past the end time as if they had nothing better to do so I didn't even get home until 10:15.

Sorry to whine. DH won't let me tell anyone else about the pg yet so had to burden you with my vent.

  • Aww, I hope you feel better soon. I was the same way, I only actually vomited once w/ DD, I just felt like I was going to all the time. I think that is almost worse.

. Thanks! And your sig pic is just what I needed to see. :) it will be worth it if DS looks that happy to be a big brother.

  • I'm sure he will. DS just loves being a big brother. DD is the apple of his eye, and he took to it right away. Granted he was a little older when she was born, but I think it could easily be the same for your DS.

We just made sure to always talk about HIS baby sister, and asked his opinions on names, and what she would look like, and how much fun he would have with her. We did all the sibling classes too.

Aw, that's cute! And good advice. This kid is in for a bit of an adjustment. He's all about all day long cuddles, so I'm worried. I will have to get creative and cuddle them together.
