Sarah pooed while we were at the TRU/BRU yesterday, so I asked DH to run out to the car and get the diaper bag, because it was ripe and I needed to change it ASAP. I go into the mommy room, take her pants off, reach into the diaper bag, and what do you think I DON'T have in the DIAPER bag!
Good Lord. I remembered that I took them all out and put them in her cubby at daycare the day before. I took her and ran out to the diaper aisle and got the smallest, cheapest bag I could find (a pack of FP Overnight diapers), pulled one out and changed her. Christ... And don't worry, we bought the diapers.
Then this morning, Sarah woke up crying at 3:45. VERY unlike her. I couldn't get her to go back to sleep so I changed her (she was very wet) and decided she's spend the last few hours of the night in bed with us. It took a little while to get her down (and how does this baby manage to take up the center 50% of the bed?!) and when my alarm went off around 6:10, I decided I could stay in bed a little longer since I got all her stuff for daycare ready the night before.
Next thing I know, I wake up suddenly and realize it's 7:20. I need to be at work at 8. Crap! No coffee or breakfast for me til I got here, and Sarah just had some fruit and DC gave her her first bottle of the day. It was absolute insanity. I got us out the door in about 25 minutes. It only takes me 10-15 minutes to get to work but I was still late after having to drop her off at DC.
I need a drink.
Re: Mothering fail from yesterday, and my crazy morning.
I'm sorry about your hectic morning!
When DD was about 3 months old, we took her over to my parents for them to watch for a few hours so we could go out for a little. We got there and we had everything...except her formula. My mom had to run to the store and buy some; I was mortified.
my angel babies: 6/10 (chem. pg), 9/10 @ 10 weeks
That was it! And yup, it's on 63. We were there from about 3:30 to 4:30 or so in the afternoon. We got DD's two big presents. Isn't that one nice?

I was there around 3! Just missed you! I love that BRU. They had a dress there that mine didn't have. I was at HRH for work so I stopped on my way home. What were the big presents? I'm going to get addie the laugh and learn farm as one of her big gifts.
So funny, I was at the same one w/dh last night- picked up some christmas gifts for the kiddies! And the Sams Club right there too- bought a disney princess ride-on for dd for <$40! (same one was $60 at BRU!)
Geek- I'm going to look at dc today for the 2 LOs for while I'm in orientation. Have you heard anything good/bad about the one right across from the hosp? I have an appt there this morn.
Play N' Learn is great! They have a few locations around Montco, actually, JenF### takes her daughter to another one and really likes it.
We toured that place and it was lovely. Really, really nice DC. We just didn't use it because it was more money than the one at my hospital and we had to pay just to get on the waitlist. They have discounts for AMH employees, too, and I believe they get preference on the waitlist as well. If I wind up working at AMH ever, we would definitely use it.

Thanks geek! My cousin used to go to the one in Ft. Washington (?) off Pennsylvania Ave. and my aunt really liked that one too. They do give a decent discount for hosp. employees, and a 5% second child discount too. They quoted me $417/wk for both babies- 10hrs/day, 5days/wk. And they have openings for them both. I'm sad about having to leave them there, but it is just temporary while I orient to days- then I'll switch over to the 7p-7a shift. But I am excited to go check it out.
